About e-Xtract

e-Xtract is an Internet-based application designed to meet a multitude of objectives.  First, is it's ability to operate under any number of interface variations which might be imposed by the hospital facility or by the Anesthesia Records manufacturer.  Real-time or batch message capture of appropriate HL7 data, coupled with various means of electronically gathering the patient case data resident on the AIMS system, all result in maximum flexibility to accomodate the automated transfer of the demographic and clincial data.

Additionally, e-Xtract then applies hundreds of Anesthesia-specific, as well as, client-specific documentation, coding and billing rules to determine the completeness and compliance of the anesthesia cases.  Cases are "Passed" or "Pended" as determined by this intelligent, consistent and high-speed process.  "Pended" cases require additional scrutiny and action, while "Passed" cases are moved into the billing process without the time, costs and opportunities for human error associated with manual procedures.  e-Xtract displays each case and all of the case time events, coding (or text descriptions), and staffing documentation needed to resolve most conflicts.

The e-Xtract "Case Alert" system, will immediately move the results of un-resolved case edits into the clients secure web portal and optionally send an e-mail Alert to the involved providers in an effort to correct the confilct with a minimum of time and effort.
